DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Database Administrator/Developer
Location: New York City
Department: Information Technology
POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the database administration team you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in database development projects. Tasks can include SQL code writing and tuning, C# development, hardware and SQL Server maintenance, as well as general database infrastructure support. On-the-job training may be provided for the right individual.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Efficient T-SQL (and ANSI-SQL) coding ability
• Clear understanding of OOP
• Solid C# development skills
• Knowledge of database operations (backups/restores, security)
• Knowledge of database performance (tuning/indexing)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience developing SQL and/or C# in a financial environment
• Experience communicating with developers and less-technical business users
• Familiar with database design concepts
• Knowledge of networking/DNS/AD, storage, RAID configuration
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
IF YOU ARE
